Born in 1978 in Rybnik as Adam Markiewicz. A German-Polish film and television actor. He trained at the Michael Tschechow Studio in Berlin (2003–2004), a school built on Michael Chekhov’s psychological-gesture method, and then at the Berufsfachschule für darstellende Kunst in Munich (2005–2007), which works from the Lee Strasberg approach.
His credits span European and Hollywood productions. In Polish cinema he played Hermann Schmidt in Wojciech Smarzowski’s Wesele (2021) and appeared in Marcin Koszałka’s Biała odwaga (2024) and the TVP series Wojenne dziewczyny. On the German side he played Ratten Rudi in Babylon Berlin (2020), Stanislawski in Unsere Mütter, unsere Väter (ZDF, 2013) and Jiri in Christian Petzold’s Polizeiruf 110 — Kreise (2014); internationally in The Informer (2019, opposite Rosamund Pike), Joe Wright’s Hanna (2011) and Treasure (2024). In 2026 he appears as Timo in Klangor (Canal+), in Escapada XD and in Pierwsza miłość. On stage: Ariadne auf Naxos (2025) at the Teatr Wielki — Polish National Opera. He moves naturally between Polish, German and English-language work.
